ive used 8.0.3 then 8.0.5 and when i wanted to upgrade to 8.1 then most people reported that 8.1 even worse than 8.0
i am waiting for 8.1.2 since 8.1.1 is out but i cant wait anymore. its too much. when i saw that there wont be 8.1.2 but 8.1.3 as a "quality" something i was happy. now it looks like not before june.
i reinstalled my computers and i dont have any previous install files.
where can i dl them?
if not on ableton.com then it would be great if anyone could send me the best version yet which is probably 8.0.9.
both osx and win
thanks in adv

I remember Denis posting that if you download the latest version of live intro & authorize it with a live full or suite serial you get a fully functional version of Live 8.0.9

Why doesn't Dennis just post a direct link to the 8.0.9 D/L for those of us who:
1) Are not interested in buying/using M4L and don't want to work with a version that has that code embedded in it.
2) Want to work with a more stable product until the arduous "quality" issue gets resolved.

here they are! cheers

just one note though about M4L.
Stop blaming the stuff! 8.0.9 still got some bugs
the most annoying, if you got frozen tracks on your sets, if you have removed some stop buttons, it behaves like there are stop buttons.
8.0.9 is good but not perfect.
So be ready to welcome 8.1.3
It will not troubled your live software in any kind if you don't own M4L.
No max/msp no nothing just ableton live.

I'm super glad the Abes are working on a big task for a stable 8.

Damn am I the only fanboy out here?

In the final, soon to come, stable version?
Before that 8.1 was worse than any L8.0 version in many regards... its funny that people allways tell that this has nothing to do with max for live ... just a coincident...and the new file format was also just a necessary step that had nothing to do with mfl..

2 fileformat changes in one year was rough... hope there will be real benefits from that one day..
Sofar i see mfl rather as something that took resources from the development of the main program..and worse.. an excuse to leave certain comfort optimisations to te individual user and max owner, while leaving all the other users with half baked controler implemetations , or no customisation options for anybody for the so called dedicated controlers...
And a live internal stepsequencer is now also something we will never see because this can be much better handled within the mfl domain..

a dream for max users... not very good for all others

try for mac:
http://downloads.ableton.com/software/8 ... ve_811.dmg
or for pc:
http://downloads.ableton.com/software/8 ... ve_811.zip

i'm pretty satisfied /w 8.1.3 now. You might consider deleting your 'preferences' file and try 8.1.3 again before downgrading to 8.1.1. - just a hint from my side
