Quicktime movie - Video and sound out of sync

Re: Quicktime movie - Video and sound out of sync
When your in quicktime save the video by going to File menu/save as/format/Movie. I have the quicktime with snow leopard and I had the same thing happening. This fixed the delay. Try all the different formats available in quicktime under "save as" and see which works best. Its all about how you save it. If you DON'T tell it HOW to save, it will automatically save in in a format that "delays" in ableton.

HI spd74
Your right, it is in sync now if i save as 480n hd, but it seems a little jaggedy, compared to the default setting, ill mess about with the settings, to see if i can get it any better.
Cheers

This might be worth a look http://www.qtsync.com/qtsync.php.
If you have Quicktime pro you can also cut the sound track from the movie then paste it back with 'Edit / Add Selection and Scale'.
If you have Quicktime pro you can also cut the sound track from the movie then paste it back with 'Edit / Add Selection and Scale'.
To add the audio to the whole movie, choose Edit > Add. To add the audio to a part of the movie, select a part and choose Edit > "Add to Selection and Scale".
"Add to Selection and Scale" slows down or speeds up the audio track to fit the length of the selected part of the movie; the pitch remains the same (when you play the movie in QuickTime Player 7). You could add video to sound instead, and speed up or slow down the video to match the audio. You might have better results if you compare the timelines of the two tracks and cut from one or the other until they have the same duration.

The hd 480 export option wasnt great quality, if you go to Save for Web, then just tick computer, the resulting file plays in sync in ableton, nice
