The perfect stand... but....

Post by robbmasters » Thu May 06, 2010 10:31 am

I finally found what I think would be the perfect live stand for me... the Studiospares A100 Keyboard Workstation.

However, the availability date keeps moving back - from the end of April, to mid May, to mid June...

But I'm sure they don't make this themselves. So I wondered whether the manufacturer made the same or similar for anyone else...

Has anyone seen a similar stand elsewhere?

Thanks.

That's the worst photoshop I've ever seen.

when looking at the pic with nothing on it, the legs in the back are gone...where did they go? Lunch?

Apparently the second set of legs are optional. (You can attach them if you want extra stability.)

Im considering this one: http://www.guitarcenter.com/Quik-Lok-SL ... 1444502.gc

Quick Lok SL 820

Cut out 2 shelves from light wood, if you got an electric saw. If not, just borrow one. And ill paint it black or something.

I already made a few studio desks. Its very easy and very fast. Much faster then traveling to IKEA. And cheaper too. Plus, you get it custom built exactly how you want it. Just buy a flat piece of wood, or take one from a scrap yard.

Please report back here if you find one for sale in the near future! I might get it to! :)

^ That looks like a winner minus the speaker bit though... The OP is probably looking for something home studio orientated hence the arrangement of the first pic with the ~~~~ hind legs. I suppose you could place a plank of wood or some other type shelf on it.

Robb said "perfect live stand" in his original post - a further indictment of the fugliness of those other ones. :D I've had one of these Ultimates for almost 20 years (!) and they're rock solid.

Looks cool, but also looks horrible to travel with!
I guess you guys have a huge rig, so it doesn't make much of a difference.. We only bring laptops and a few small controllers.
Weight is everything! Or first priority at least. :D
