Can you?
It's clear that sending MIDI data is entirely possible, so why haven't we seen a clock yet?
Using these sequencer apps as an external instrument - the same way you would a piece of hardware; with MIDI sync and audio out - is the ultimate.

@CaptainJohnson: Akai SynthStation is not yet released as far as I know. They've just been previewing it forever. Not sure what's the hold up.
