question about clip volumes

Post by swett » Tue May 25, 2010 5:22 pm

When you have an audio loop, and you split it to a midi clip, it automatically chops the parts and throws them onto a drum rack with individual simplers. The thing is, i've noticed that the new samples all are loaded with a -12db setting. The questions are: Why? and What level do i nee to change those as to match the volume of the original audio clip?

Choose a slicing preset in the slice-to-new-MIDI-track dialog, like "built-in-0-vel"
or you can make your own preset, save it in library/Defaults/Slicing

Maybe my question is not clear.

I just want to know why it loads samples with the -12db setting, and how do i make the sliced to midi files match the original in volume….I already tried raising the indiv. volumes to 0db, but that is way too much...

select one slice in the drumrack and match the volume of the simpler with your clip volume then rightclick "copy value to siblings (x)"
