hey i have a microkorg hooked up to ableton with a midi to usb cable and it hardly ever works as a controller for midi.
sometimes it works but usually it doesnt. any ideas?
My MicroKorg only works half the time as a midi controller

mmmm...this may seem obvious but you have to make sure any midi controller is plugged in and turned on BEFORE you start Ableton. Seems dumb I know, but I think the program only recognizes midi controllers upon start up or something. Unless you have a mac, in which case there is a way you can "scan" for midi control devices (I think, right?) but I am not aware how, as I use a PC.

Oddly I can't turn on my microkorg till ableton has loaded otherwise I get 2 second latency.
Does it depend which program you are using on your microkorg?
