MPD32 - Pad Cork Mod Problems

Post by leonardrock » Sun Jun 13, 2010 10:02 pm

I just bought an MPD32 and installed pad corks from mpcstuff.com and while the sensitivity has improved tremendously, I think the corks have made it TOO sensitive. I think that the corks are remaining in contact with the trigger after I hit them and screwing up the rest of the pad grid. I looked at the pads in a drum rack and the MIDI activity squares in the upper right of Live and they keep firing yellow long after I hit them.

Has anyone else had this problem? Do the corks need to "wear in" a bit or am I out of luck and just need to take them out?

Thanks for any reply

Fixed my own problem. Pad Threshold (not Pad Sensitivity) settings in the Global menu need to be adjusted to compensate for the corks improved response. Threshold settings lower than "9" on the MPD32 will trigger ghost notes and keep the pad firing. A setting above 9 will only fire the pad when hit. Thanks for your help, Me. I appreciate it.

nothing to add, other than "yup, that's the issue". I just dumped my mpc2500 after a long, bitter-sweet relationship for the 32, and this was the first thing I did (I used electrical tape though, works great).
