Midi Set-up Question...

Right now I have both my MK461 Keys and FCB1010 foot controler plugged into the midi ports of my Fast Track Pro and BCR2k respectively.

Is it not possible to chain them rather than have them use different inputs?

I have tried to do this by plugging into the 'tru' port though this seems to cancell out one of the controllers.

Hi

You just need to read up on your fcb1010's midi merge functionality!

Example could be: MIDI keys midi output going into fcb1010 where the data is merged before going into your soundcard/midi interface
If the 2 midi controllers send on the same midi channel then all devices receiving from that channel will get the merged data from the two!
If the midi controllers send on different midichannels then all devices receiving on each of those channels should receive only the data meant for them respectively!

ps. any midi device that has a thru port - just passes the data from the midi input unaltered to the midi thru!

Hmm merge....I ve read that before i'm sure....Mind you Ive got all my devices on different midi channels already..

(FCB's on 14, MK461's on 09)
