their is actually his (Robert Henke). once upon a time it would have been their (Gerhard Behles & Robert Henke) but Gerhard more or less left the group to form/run Ableton... of which Robert is also very involved but not to the degree of running the company the way Gerhard is. ...do you already know this?

anyway, an answer to your question is, imo, Cinemascope. and last year's Momentum. i also really like Interstate. but i seem to first go back to Cinemascope whenever i haven't listened to Monolake in a while.

i love the monolake cd called "Gobi, the desert"
more ambient/less beats than more recent releases
just one 36 minute evolving track
beautiful!

my vote is for Gobi as well...

Amazing album. I also dig the harder to find "Hong Kong" as well.

Check out www.betalounge.com and www.paxahau.com for some live sets which are just outstanding.

Came across http://www.monolake.de by a chance when browsing the artist section at abletons site last year.

Sound is now forever re-defined.

Ended up ordering all currently released CDs at Amazon.

Get them.

Now.
