I went with SubFunk's recommendation and got the Griffin stand and am very pleased with it - recommended. No separate shelf for the soundcard, mind.

whatever your choice might be, i warn you to take any stand with any kind of screws...
last time i played and a guy had one of those screwable models i managed to put up my entire setup, including cabling in the time he needed to put just the stand together... a nightmare in my eyes, they might be super sturdy... but... also i believe it is easy to loose some stoopid small parts of those stands.
