MBP + Mackie MR5s
MBP + Mackie MR5s
I'm currently using a macbook pro (2.6ghz, 4gb ram), apc40, axiom 49, and Mackie MR5s. My question is, is it worth it to purchase an external sound card/audio interface for my setup? My main concern is improving sound quality. Will an external sound card/audio interface, make that big of difference in sound quality? I'm using ableton stricly for music production (Techno/Minimal).

How are you connecting MR5s to a Macbook currently? Straight out the headphone port with a splitter?
Then yes you would benefit from an improvement in quality - highly advisable and is the first thing you should do once you read this post.

Yea, I'm hooking the monitors up directly into headphone jack.re.mark wrote:How are you connecting MR5s to a Macbook currently? Straight out the headphone port with a splitter?
