oh...my....gods...........

thanks for the heads-up!

looks really good,it also seems to have built-in tutorials, gathering from what i've read.
let's just hope these are as clear as Max tutorials.
damn,Native Instruments finally did what people have asked them for years(regarding Reaktor)

and they added Electronic Instruments 1&2 8O 8O 8O .

now,where's my creditcard?...........

That GUI gives me such a boner. Comparing things like Traktor, Maschine, and Kore to what Reaktor looks like now makes it look as old as it really is. This is going to be fantastic.

Stephan Schmitt, NI wrote: Version 5.5 will be a free update, and it is based on many improvements that we have made to Reaktor recently. It also has significant new synthesis capabilities that can literally take a lifetime to explore - both conceptually as a builder, and sonically as a sound designer and musician.

Had Reaktor sitting on my hard drive since the $99 offer, but I've just not had the time to properly learn how to use it, I've got limited spare time in which I'd rather just make music. I'll have to give this a shot though, built in tutorials might just get the ball rolling...

and it's a free update, for a product that hasn't been updated in a long time. nice. a certain other software company might want to to take note...

has anyone dug in enough to know if 5.5 reskins old ensembles in the style of the sample screenshot, or if those are just new aesthetic options?

the screenshot is not the default skin, just custom made..
the new default is the same as Maschine.. very nice.

WOW
I was considering selling Reaktor this afternoon, but that new GUI alone makes me want to reconsider momentarily.
Shame its only a 5.5 and not 6 though...
