Advice needed: Portable Laptop Table

Post by masterboyle » Mon Dec 06, 2004 10:05 pm

Hi,
I'm a guitar player using live on a laptop as an FX processor. I'm looking for a portable table to sit my laptop on. Something high enough that I can access the computer when I'm standing up to play.

Use a keyboard stand, of the double-x variety. If neccesary, slap on a piece of acrylic as a table top.

Im a location photographer and LOVE my HD 500. Wicked expensive , but has lasted and preformed flawlessly for 9 years.

Gotta love the magician!

www.quiklok.com has variety of trays that can be attached to other stands, I use their workstation but you can find one that attaches to mic stand, hmm... maybe not such good idea, pehaps better the ones for combo amp stands I have one like that too, sometimes using it as mixer stand.

I use a small bookshelf thingy stood up on its end. It's just a single shelf,in its normal orientation it would look like a letter H with a very long horizontal bar.Corny I know, but it's very sturdy and stable.Sometimes use it for my PodXT so I can tweak easier too.

Check out some of the online computer supply stores (Staples, Office Depot, etc), they sell portable tables made just for holding laptops during presentations
