"CLIP_RECORD_LENGTH_SET_BY_GLOBAL_QUANTIZATION - This changes the behavior of launching the selected Clip Slot so that you can easily record a new Clip with a length defined by the Global Quantization value."

Yes, thats what it needed! Totally suits my workflow. Makes Live feel much more.. um.. live. :)
