Live Lite 8.1.4 ReWire Slave Plug-In Devices Deactivated?

Is Deactivating Plug-In Devices when in ReWire Slave mode a new functionality to Live 8.1.4 or Live Lite 8.1.4? And is this functionality across the board with Live 8 and higher?

No, it's not new. You've never been able to use third party plugins in Live when it's being used as a ReWire slave.

Wow! Ummm... a constructive question would be is Ableton Live likely to change that functionality?
