Hey you are from France ? On pourrait parler français, mais pour respecter le forum we go on in english ...

So you mean it would be possible to have a set with the top part of the screen with 1-8 and the bottom with 8-16? but only in a next release?

mywi 4.0 is doing a network over usb (and yes it is available when jailbreak) and works with lot of official apps like TouchOSC for example

For gigs I prefer to use that USB connection as with WIFI you can suffer from interferences from micro-ondes, and other tools.

Would love to test touch-able with mywi :)

okay for the JB thing but what about having the screen in two part with 16 channels?

my need is the following : I have 8 instru + 8 midi drums tracks. I need to launch instru clips WITH drums clips and if I have to scroll it wont do the trick ...

If this is working with ST8's LiveOSC work, then only 1 grid is possible. I'm not sure, but I think the only thing you could modify was the size.
Can you run 2 instances of the same app on a JB device?

so use scenes for that :) launching a scene launchs as many tracks and clip as you have on the same line.

Dual-user mode is available, so if you own 2 ipads, you can run 2 instances of touchAble, and it works really great (video soon).

LiveControl is based on LiveOSC. Its basically an application written around it.
The first post of this thread says Touch-able using LiveOSC.
ST8's tools which are an improvement over Nathan Ramella's LiveAPI tools.
We've come a long long way baby :)

Pardon my ignorance:

Is LiveOSC supported or blessed by Ableton? If not, what happens if Abes decides to break it?

When did LiveOSC "come out"?

How does LiveOSC work? I.e., what part of Live is it talking to?

oups sorry I was thinking you wanted to say TouchOSC :)

yep I could use scenes to enable what I want, but I prefer to have total control during live-act and want to decide on the fly which clips I want to launch or stop.

now with dedicated controller via TouchOSC I have exactly what I need (1 pad = 1 clip) but it means a lot of work (I design one controller per song)...

The idea of having two ipads is great too but not in the pipeline for now!!!

Agreed. The graphics in the vid + pics range from poor to downright awful I'm afraid...
But the functionality seems really, really cool! Well done! :D

The mapping of instruments and f/x, how does it work? Will they all have dedicated interfaces like that awesome EQ8 interface in the vid? That would be, like, wow! (I know, I sound like a teenage girl. Maybe I am one. )

And what about VST and AU plug-ins, can you access their parameters too? Like by simply mapping the parameters with Live's configure button? If so, can you as a user change what kind of controls are used for each parameter? I really hate it when switches get mapped to sliders, not to mention the other way around...

the teaser video looks really-really promising !!!
makes me think it's time to buy an i-pad.

about the functionality. i think you really nailed it
as someone other already suggested, the graphics would need a more "abletonish" look and feel.

i think that if this is working as it promises, and you can improve the graphic department, you could really have a bestseller !

ps: nice to read this is coming from you, Le K.. remember me ? ;)

The biggest problem is that it's so inconsistent. You've got flat + square corners, flat + curved corners, 3D with drop shadows and square corners, 3D with square corners but no drop shadows, curved 3D without drop shadows... And the color schemes are all over the place. It's like a collage of different styles.

From what I've seen, the interface's usability seems fine though and that's more important of course.
