One question, which I'm sure has been covered, but I've done a lot of trawling without finding an answer.

Can it be used to control 3rd party plugs parameters and synths (I use very few Live ones)?

If the answer is yes my cash will shortly be on it's way

As long as you configure the device for the plug-in, the parameters show up just like when you expand the device. In fact it's better for plug-ins because you can rearrange the order of parameters!
