Hi All,
Are there any circumstances that would cause Sampler to NOT offer the "crop sample" feature when right-clicking the sample window? I used a bassoon sample from the EIC collection and when I choose the small portion I need, the option is not there. I remember seeing it before and thought any sample could be cropped at any point in the sound design process.
Just for kicks, I loaded another Sampler with the same sound file outside of a rack with NO effects, modulation, etc., and the option again fails to show. So I eliminated the possibility that using the reverse function, LFOs, or pitch modulation would render the feature inactive.
A workaround could simply be to resample the part I need, crop that and then re-insert that into my patch, but it seems laborious compared to a simple right-click.
Why doesn't it work? Thanks in advance.
Jamie

Re: Crop sample...
the sampler doesn't have the 'crop' context menu entry..
you can drag the sample itself to a clip ..
and do the 'crop sample' schtick (live creates a new audio file when you 'crop')
...or simply adjust the start/end position
