Impulse Drum Velocity???

Post by CraigD » Sat Dec 11, 2004 7:43 pm

I've been doing some crazy drum programming in Impulse.

After I program my beat, how can i adjust the individual velocity of each note? for some reason it keeps adjusting the velocity for the group.

i know you can click on the white block next to the note (ex. CL H for closed hi hat) and then hold in shift to adjust the group of hats. how do i t adjust individual note velocity.

i want to fine tune hats and snares to give them more of a live feel with the velocity of each note.

hope this was clear. thanks!!!

Little velocity figures under the notes may be dragged up/down individually. Dont have to select a group of notes.

More interesting: Control the volume 7 and 8 in Impulse with clip curves for the MIDI clip, set them to unlinked and adjust the length so that it does not match the midi clip length exactly.

Or use follow actions with clips that have slightly different velocity patterns.

And there is a Midi Velocity FX in Live that has a randomize setting.
