Ive been looking at getting a field recorder or an ipod touch
Does anyone have any experiance with either of these? What app would i need for the ipod or microphone

Kodak Zi8 + Rode NT4 = under 500 dollar top quality audio + HD video filming .
Zoom H2 + Rode NT4 = top quality audio + some cooler audio functions like low-cut filter and limiter and surround sound recording (using internal mics).
Zoom H4 + Rode NT4 = you can use phantom power on your Rode NT4, eliminating the need for the 9V battery in the mic.

It's a shame the new (and old) Mikey's don't work with the iPhone 4.

I'd go with the H4 (cheap on ebay); good quality.

it would be my bad luck using a black field recorder. i could see now the las vegas police shooting at me for pointing the H1 at someones face.
