Is there any easy way to export audio from Drum Racks as the individual Tracks within it, instead of just one take of the whole kit? I know you could setup separate audio tracks & route the audio to them from the kick Snare etc.

I was just hoping there was an easier way, maybe something I was missing.

Well I just gave the routing to new a audio tracks a go. Its all a bit time consuming though, getting the levels all right again & sends etc. If there isn't another easier way I'd be quicker just soloing and exporting each drumkit instrument.

Maybe there is no way to export each track within Drum Racks?

You can also extract chain for each instrument within the rack, this will create a set of new instrument midi tracks which you could freeze and flatten. Whether that is better than audio routing is a moot point i guess.

I just drag them out to create a new midi track also. Btw while I'm working I open up the chain view in the drumrack, select (shift + select) & group (command G) all the kicks, snares, closed hats, open hats, cymbals, toms etc. This seems to help my workflow by simplifying things visually. I usually eq each drum sub group and compress to the overall drum group. Then it's all set up to drag the sub groups or each individually out of the drumrack creating their own midi tracks, which you could also then freeze or flatten before export. I just started doing this recently, using the top side mixer type visual interface of Drumracks rather than the instrument window below. No biggie, just thought I'd mention it.

Basically extract chains, what he said:)
