Why no amp?

I have the suite. When I fire up the new version, the ableton welcome screen says it: Ableton Live Suite 8. Still, no amp in there?!?

Did you update bthe Suite, not just Ableton Live? Try repairing the library.

Make sure you let the new packages install. You should also try repairing the library, and, lastly, reauthorizing. If Amp isn't showing up in your serials, please contact customercare@ableton.com.

repaired library and no luck...

I'd suggest first checking your Ableton account to verify that Amp is among your serial numbers. Then try reinstalling; it should put a folder named "Amp" under your "Audio Effects" folder. If that doesn't work, contact Ableton Support

All good advice, but instead of "reinstalling", you should "re-authorize", if you see the Amp serial number in your license. If you don't see it, indeed, contact custormercare@ableton.com

From pure frustration from the demo Amp not showing up, I upgraded to Suite and now everything is working as it should.

Maybe this is some kind of new selling policy?

We have had some issues with Amp showing up in Suite 8.2 trial and demo versions - we are working on this and it should be fixed shortly. In the mean time, all owners of Suite 8 should have Amp after upgrading to Suite 8.2.
