I bought mine from donaldo for 130 dollar shipping from the usa to luxemburg included , it was a v1.5 with free upgrade to v.2 in a sealed box.
Then I did the upgrade to v.4 for 118 euros, makes a total of about 240 euros, very happy to have done this deal!
Greetings
Steve

Yep, paid for 3 then upgraded to 4. If you didn't pay then you're not freeloading off those who did. Live wouldn't need to cost as much if people weren't ripping Ableton off. Our Christmas gift to those who didn't pay is we won't bust your ass...... today.

This is an interesting question. Just got myself Live 4 as a Christmas present, and was suprised at the difference I found in price here in the US. Just about everywhere it is $399 retail, but on Amazon.com (or more accurately, through a Amazon "merchant," J&R Music and Computer World), it was $299, which is obviously a fantastic price. I thought software prices were pretty much set in stone. I looked for any catches, but their site seemed legit and after all, it was through Amazon. I guess I will find out soon (well, in two weeks when it arrives), but I think I got a good deal on what will be the core of my studio. It's worth the $399 for sure... but money saved here is money I can put into a midi footcontroller...

I pay for all my software!!!!! I want to sleep easy at nights. Plus I believe that if you are impressed by a product via testing it in a shop or via a demo, the developers deserve to be paid for it. Simple as that! Though am I being too naive?
Maybe a dumb question, how do you know people are using cracks?

Why not pay for it? I mean, I used the demo, and I could do everything minus save my project. So, unlike many demos of programs Live gives you a chance to get your feet wet a bit. Feel the program out. Hell, I bought it. And I don't regret it eithercaluh wrote:Does everyone in this forum pay'd for the $399 for the software? U know what I Mean?
