a question for those using live to score a movie

Post by boraxx » Sat Oct 23, 2010 4:39 pm

hey there

as i was syncing SFX to a movie i just discovered a trick i didnt know. if you click on the "arrangement position", you can move the playhead with the up and down arrows. i love this discovery.

BUT it poses a question. the fine-est i can move the playhead is by ticks (the last value on the 0.0.0 scale). how long is a tick? would it be comparable to 1 frame in a 25fps movie? is there a way to move the playhead even finer. subticks? milliseconds?

thanks

even cooler, would be to have a key command to access the "arrangement position". im using live 7 and its currently un-assignable
