how do you fix envelope latency?

when i'm using processor-heavy plugins, there's a lot of latency. all the tracks line up perfectly but the envelopes are not triggered when they should be. when i adjust the track delay, only the sounds from the track are shifted, but the envelopes stay exactly where they are relative to the track with the same amount of latency. the worst part is even after the file is exported, the envelope latency is exactly the same as what was heard in live. any way to work around this?

never tried it..but when you shift all tracks later with the track delay ..maybe the envelope stay in place and you cam male it fi taht way?

like i said, the track delay doesn't do anything for envelopes. if there's 50ms latency between a track and its envelope, it will always be 50ms whether you set your track delay to 0 or 1000.

i can move the envelopes but the latency changes depending on the plugins i'm using, so that means i'd have to adjust 100 envelope locations every time i want to add or delete a plugin.

hmm..havent used lives envelopes for ages because all the sound generations they was causing in the past...

i know that they are not latency compensated... and not sample acurate either...

actually points for the detail problem thread? do you as a victim like to add them?

I just wonder a bit that theire offset is changing with the plugs... should be fixed...
have you latency compensation switched on?

and you run live as master and not as clockslave..or?

i figured it out.

for whatever reason i had "delay compensation" checked in the options menu, and it compensated for everything automatically except for the envelopes. weird bug i guess.

so you had to set the flag again and tahn it worked?

yep.. the program is sometimes a bit like that..

Nope, it's not a bug. Ableton somehow cannot commit delay compensation to envelopes. It's already written on the manual.
