Hi,
How can avoid Live doubling the audiofile when flattening the track. It does not even work to crop the half part. When I then try to slice to new midi track I have more than 128 slices...
This has bothered me for years, now I beg for help

Re: Live doubles the audiofile length when freeze-flatten
paste the clip in arrange view before freezing/flattening.
The doubling in length is in session view when the clip is set to loop so any release/reverb/delay from the first pass is recorded to the beginning of the second pass. Otherwise any sound playing longer than the loop would be cut off every time the loop restarts.

turn off 'render as loop' in the popup

Just turn off the loop button of the clips and only one pass will be recorded.flowdesigner wrote:Thanks, what to do to evoid this when not having release, delay or reverb?
(you can turn the loop back on in the audio clip after you've flattened it)
Or you could paste the clips in the arrange view
(then you will see if any part overlaps and decide if you need a second pass or not.
track 1: midi/Operator
track 2: frozen
track 3: flattened
