are there any step sequencers that you can map to midi/keys?
basically a step sequencer that doesn't require a mouse click to fill in the steps, instead you can assign the fills to midi notes or keystrokes? would be great with session view.

Simply replace the LP with your keys and you should be good to go...

He uses 8 miditracks that send midi notes to a receive track.
Each track plays its midinote at an other time (1st track: 8th note,2nd miditrack: 2nd 8th note, ...)The LP-buttons are mapped to the mutes of each track.
This makes me wonder: how do you do make the LP-buttons light up when you press a button and turn off when pressed again(muted track)?

EDIT: I just tried it.... it works just fine by itself in Usermode1... lights go on if you unmute and go off if you mute. Cool stuff... should be really easy to do a dual-LP-sequencer now.

the thing about muting tracks is you can't make multiple patterns because the mutes would be in place for all the scenes.
