Again, its a workflow thing.

I'm just REALLY wondering if its possible to create a MASCHINE or GEIST in Live with M4L. I mean, can't you change the UI in Live with M4L? Can't you completely use all of Live's processing power under the hood? Granted, I'm sure that the technical difficulty would be quite high, but is it possible?

As far as Live vs Geist/Guru, well, I disagree. A matrix grid sequencer is not all that different from a piano roll. The Abes could have done it a while ago if they wanted to.

How do you come off suggesting something might be a killer of something else when you apparently don't even fully understand what might supposedly get killed?

There is no software that touches Maschine without a dedicated controller in the way NI implemented with Maschine. People who have used hardware sequencers are more likely to get this key point that distinguishes Maschine from anything else.

Geist just seems like Guru trying to be more like Live.

Looks pretty weak in my opinion. Man, some software company need to hire me, I have ideas that would murder the whole market. Seems like they keep on making generic faux mpcs, without expanding too much on the concept.

I'm not going to judge it until I play with the demo. The ads are weak, but that doesn't mean anything.
