Fried monitor at 220

Hi,

In my excitement to get my studio up I fried one of my near fields. It was set at 110 being all yank and shite, and plugged it in in Korea. errr. these bitches are expensive in Ko as well.
anyone know If I can just replace a fuse or something?

Yes. It stupidity must be taxed. so now what? am i scrwed?

It's possible. Depends on the monitor and whether the fuse blew in time to protect the rest of the circuitry. The only way to know for sure is probably to try it and see what happens.

powered monitors tend to have an internal fuse.
I'm not sure if this will have been popped by a voltage fuck up, or whether the transformer will have sizzled first.

Open it up man, look for the black parts.

Also, what make/model is it?

Its a KRK Rokit 5. They survived being hauled in checked luggage. and well, damn jet lag and excitment. I will open it up. I appreciate the hope, however fleeting it may turn out to be. So your saying If the fuse looks black thn maybe I'll have a shot? otherwise, bumping mono for awhile
