I guess all the "iPad = lemur killer" assumptions turned out to be correct.

Totally. Kinda wonder if the software development can be carried over. A lot of interesting templates have been created etc. Suppose that's unrealistic but the Lemur has been a real inspiration. Just so damn expensive.

Hopefully, but Stanton seems to be more of an industrial product company than a real risk taker.
Thing is an ipad app could be sold for ridiculously cheap, and with the gearlust factor of the Lemur, it would be a huge hit. How useful it would be compared to a real Lemur is a question though.

Very true. My lust for an iPad grows daily. I WILL own one soon! Things seem to be moving increasingly fast - making some things 'obsolete' pretty quickly. Love the open ended quality of the iPad.

Why this ?

A couple years back when they were a hot item I was quite vocal about being pissed off when I attempted to get one several times but after hitting refresh with lightening speed on the date and time of their batch release I would get "SOLD OUT" within like a minute. Then everybody would be all "but they're boutique!…awwww". I don't care how grassroots they are if they can't keep up with the demand.

Then the APC40 and Launchpad came a long and I thought that would be the end of that.

now imo they have to make descent priced portable monitors, like their smk, with their unmached pressure technology.

then we can connect to any beefy cpu computer with os choice, that would kill.

this is very sad.
I can't believe jazzmutant left all the customers in this way!
At least i buyed an used one years ago but think to those who payed full price
and then even buyed the dexter app that now is free.
Lemur editor has (had) very advanced objects,
my own templates and all the reaktor ones for example could never be built on the ipad.
But instead that keeping hard they have raised the white flag:(

Honestly the writing was on the wall the day the Lemur came out, was no surprise that it was going to get cheaper and be outdated so soon.
