Does the boxed version of Intro include any vocals

Post by Jome7 » Sun Nov 21, 2010 12:45 am

Does it include any vocal samples or loops? I have a few tracks that I think some vocals would make a better song and I see that the boxed version includes a lot more content than the download version. I checked out some of the vocal packs on Loopmasters and Producerloops.com but some are kind of expensive for me and my first priority is to get a upgrade my software from Live Lite and get a keyboard.

Also, how come the boxed version is $100 in stores but $140 from Ableton?

I think the box actually comes with a tiny woman who can sing on your tunes for you and make them better without having to do anything or even consider writing a song or finding a singer... hope this helps

Oh ok. I know that they aren't mentioned on the product page, but Loopmaster has a lot of vocal loops so I thought that they might have included some with it.

Also, has anyone tried out the vocal thing from Puremagnetik, and knows if it works with recent versions of Live? It says that it requires Live 7, but I guess it means version 7 and higher? It doesn't seems bad for $12.

Hi Jome7

I've just had a look around a copy of Suite 8 in our studio and couldn't any vocal samples in the library. If it helps at all, I've used vocals before from Zero G, Loopmasters and VIP-Zone, some of which are free. There are also quite a few free sample sites on the net that do have a load of vocals in there.

yup we've got one of the puremagnetik bundles running on Live 8.2.1 without issue :)

Hope that helps

Cheers, Simmo

I've gotten some nice vocal snippets for free here. Also a TON of other stuff too:

Oh, and I dug around in the box looking for the little woman that sings and does all the work for you, and I think YILA might be out to lunch, or I really got ripped off, 'cuz I can't find her *anywhere*. ;)

Essential Instrument Collection in boxed set of Live 8 has some vocals. What they call "Mixed Choir (ahh, ohh)". I haven't checked them out though.

You could always sing something yourself and AutoTune it......

Way better than using stuff that somebody else has already come up with, but didn't think was good enough to use for themselves.

Think about it:

If someone recorded a killer vocal (or loop, or riff of any kind), would they really put it on a CD or a download site for other people to use instead?

These packages of other peoples samples, loops etc. are always going to be the 'leftovers', and it's always much better to do something yourself from scratch.

Here endeth the lesson. :D

I saw this on the site and am interested in picking it up, but will it work with Live Lite? I recently tried to install the latest PakBytes like the Harvest Pack and Artifact but when I try to use them a message comes up that says that they are unavailable in this version of Live. I do have the latest update installed as well(8.2.1).
