Thanks for the suggestion. They seem to be discontinued. Also the 50 has no power switch... seems like a good idea to have one? Nice looking little unit though!

Thanks that looks great. A little more than I want to spend but I'll put it on the list of considerations.

Appreciate the suggestions. Anyone actually used the Soundcraft?

I've used a Tapco Mix60 in my live rig for years. Clean, quiet, and reliable.

I've just bought a Soundcraft EPM6 for use in another live situation. One gig down so far, very happy with it's audio quality.
I suspect the smaller Soundcraft will be of equal quality. They're a good brand name, and go out of their way to point out in their advertising that they understand the need for a minimal features/small/basic mixer that still sounds good.

Continuous, can you give us an idea of what you'll be using it for?

Just need some more ins and to be able and thinking I'd like to put my external effects on the the mixer rather than in/out of my Traveler. Could just get a little Behringer but thought I'd make a little bit more of an investment.

BTW... recently saw a section on you in the book VJ audio-visual art + visual culture... sick.

^^cheers!

I'd avoid Behringer like the plague. In my experience their mixers are in no way transparent.

That's what I figured... Strange they seem to have discontinued the Tapco mixers? Anyhow, it's always good to ask on these here forums - now I'm prepared to spend a little more and get something that'll last.

Yeah was checking that out... read some review said it sounded flat? Who knows! How do you compare mixers before purchase?

I don't know if I'd want to pay for inboard effects or not?

the main gole for me if it has hum or not (yamaha) .

i have behringer xenyx 1002 B , and when masterfader is at 0 dB - i can hear it hissing a little bit, not suitable for recoding i guess, so i want to throw away this product of german - china friendship :)))) and get something more solid and stable...

so im wondering if this yamaha is any good? and without any hisses or hums inside it with masterfader (masterknob) put at 0 db?
