Saving Samples

Post by AnthonyRLo » Sat Dec 11, 2010 4:59 pm

My apologies if this has been answered before, but could not find it. My question is this: is there a way to create a sample library of previous samples used in other songs in ableton live? For example, if I sample a vocal part from an MP3, is that sample saved somewhere and can it be accessed for use in a new live set?

Good question that I'd like answered too (if there is an easy feature of some sort). Anyway, you can definitely browse to your past project and drag-n-drop it into the new project. I'm guessing that wasn't really your question though..

Good luck!

easy, drag the sample to the browser.

better, make a folder on the browser with all your custom sounds (now you're creating your own sample library!).

Even better, make this folder one of your 3 root folders by right clicking and "set as root".

Now you can access your custom sample library with one click (and you can use them in all your projects) 8)
