aka scott Herren, sabath and savales, eastern developments records
I've read that he used and MPC of some sort (probably 2000 or 3000) and then dumped that into Protools for further editing on the "vocal Studies" lp.
When I saw him live several months ago he had the MPC, g4 powerbook, and some sort of midi keyboard-I think it had knobs too. He left the pb pretty much untouched for the show, but he did do lots of tweaking on the MPC, and also did a fair amount of actual keyboard playing. On some songs it looked and sounded like he had some sort (step?)sequence running which he tweaked w/the knobs on the controller. It all sounded pretty slick, so I assumed a good deal of it was pre-sequenced; it did sound different from the album, though. He also had a guy doing cuts/scratching on a single turntable. I'm sure he did other stuff i couldn't see, too.
Does anyone else know of other things he uses/does? I am not ashamed to say I wanna bite his style....
