Re: Griid/Cliip- iPad controller lets you get INSIDE clips
Loving Griid. The iPad through my router into the Ethernet on my MacPro, works great.
I've actually been using the demo of Live 8 Suite ( I own 6) and think I'll upgrade to 9 if when it gets released next year, a by reason is the IPad and Griid, I can really see immediacy with these tools. Hopefully next year when Apple release IPad 2, I can buy another two IPads cheap!
With Cliip is there anyway to see Drum Racks mapped regions that have been used rather than the whole piano roll?

Re: Griid/Cliip- iPad controller lets you get INSIDE clips
Thanks for the report. Good to hear iOS 4.2 and Griid is working on your iPod Touch 2G. It was working fine here, but always good to see reports confirmed.stevedd wrote: Cheers for that Nick. There are loads of reports of battery draining problems with iOS 4. And I'm on a 2g only, so I'm apprehensive that there might be processor problems. (Incidentally, I seem to have claimed to have an iPod Youch, rather than an iPod Touch.)
EDIT: Just wanted to say that I took the plunge and went to 4.2 on the 2g iPod Touch, and there don't seem to be any problems as yet ...
Best wishes for 2011!!
Nick
Re: Griid/Cliip- iPad controller lets you get INSIDE clips
We have a 'fold' function in the wishlist for Cliip, which gets you halfway to that functionality. Unfortunately, there is currently no way to get the drum names from a rack with the Live API. The only solution in the meantime would be to enter names manually on the iPad, but that doesn't seem like a very convenient solution. We'll keep our thinking caps on.ekwipt wrote:Loving Griid. With cliip can you fold the piano roll?
Also, does the name of whatever replaces the key info show up? (e.g. drum machines snare/kick/etc..)
edit: Er shit, just read the post above me... Nevermind.

Nope, not trollin', but it actually turned me away from purchasing today...ekwipt wrote:LOL I was reading your post and thought you were taking the pissshuutobi wrote:With cliip can you fold the piano roll?

We'll, I may cave in tonight, but those are some pretty pivotal features.

Even without fold functionality, I think you'll find the improvement of being able to create MIDI clips with your fingers WELL worth the plunge.
And of course, the more support we get then the more we can develop each module!!
Obviously we can't make any promises as to what will come and when exactly, it's all a matter of prioritisation according to our users' requests but we ARE listening to you ALL - which is why we brought you the clip editor
Re: Griid/Cliip- iPad controller lets you get INSIDE clips
Well put me down for (1) request of clip fold and name pulling.
Re: Griid/Cliip- iPad controller lets you get INSIDE clips
Ok, it's in the special book!
Re: Griid/Cliip- iPad controller lets you get INSIDE clips
Bought it to take advantage of pricing... Haven't had the chance to play around with it just yet though.
Re: Griid/Cliip- iPad controller lets you get INSIDE clips
Cool - thanks for the support! The next update is just around the corner too...
Re: Griid/Cliip- iPad controller lets you get INSIDE clips
I wanted to like Griid, but getting it up and running I had to play IT guy for hours and it still wasn't working properly. E-mails for a refund were met with silence.

Where did you get stuck....?
Set up was pretty easy for me: Installed the package, launched the daemon. Selected the MIDI Remote Script in Live (perhaps it was already selected during the installation, don't remember). Opened the App in the iPad, done.
Maybe we can figure out what's wrong here....

Apologies for the email delay. I've replied to you by email.
Thanks,
