Oh man, just got back online to hear this sad, sad news.

Leeds, you have been an inspiration to us all. Not just with the sharing of your knowledge and wisdom, but with the way you have always comported yourself on this forum. You have walked the walk, as well as talking the talk, and your generosity of spirit is an inspiration and a model of how we all could behave - at least in this semi-anonymous world of cyberspace.

You have truly embodied the ideal that it is better to light a candle than curse the darkness - and as everyone here has said, we have been made better musicians/engineers/producers and people for knowing you.

I only found out recently that you were a practicing Catholic, in this epic thread: http://forum.ableton.com/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=149947
Your unrelentingly civil and intelligent discourse on a difficult and highly-charged subject was eye-opening and informative, and widened the boundaries of my understanding. I hope that your faith brings comfort to your family and friends through the difficult times ahead.

I never met you in person, but yet you have improved my life - how awesome is that?

Today I sit in the sun on a beautiful NZ summer day and raise a beer to you.

Thank you for being you. Thanks for passing by this way. You are an inspiration to us all.

Till we meet again, mate.

I am very sad to read this..It comes as a shock to me, although I am not so constant on this forum, I was always enjoy reading Martin's posts, and I always found him as good fella and trust-able and advanced Live user..I will miss his opinions, and I think this community lost one of the best members  ..

RIP Martin, Leedsquietman, and forum buddy ..

Very sad to hear. I always wondered if I'd eventually meet him, since he was just down the way in Toronto. He was always a real pleasant guy here on the forum and extremely knowledgeable. Wishing strength to his family and friends...
