I'm terrible at coming up with basslines for dubstep songs.

The one song I have made/mixed used all samples. I have a sick wobble made, but every note I write just sounds off.

I hear u

something I do is take a song I like and study the arrangement in 4 bar blocks
a section at a time
and try to re create it

Some of the best dubstep basslines are only 2 or 3 notes but with loads of detail in those notes, pushing different sub harmonics or subtle LFO's on each note etc. Try focusing on making a really simple bassline move by accenting the harmonic frequencies that different notes are pushing, and alternating through them etc. If that makes any sense at all...
