osc controllers are still not very common - there is one here

UC-33! One not enough? Get two! Nice controller for the money. No probs here! Lives "midi map" function makes it a breeze to set up. Can't live without it.

Wave Idea's Bitstream 3x

Looks very LIVE friendly. They even sell it bundled with Live. It is currently out of stock, though... :? I'd love to get my hands on that one. I currently have an M-Audio Radium 61 and an Oxygen8. I'm lacking KNOBS!!! Knobs is what i need.

Probably an X-session could be a good cost effective choice.

What do you guys say?
I've had a 3x for a couple of years now. It's a good solid build, and having 4 rows of pots is great...

...BUT, don't be fooled by the buttons and stuff on the right, very little of it is mappable to ableton (except the buttons at the bottom), and the pots can only be used to trigger midi signals (e.g. arpeggiators) - great if you're into that sort of thing, but no good for DJing.

And the manual masy as well be written in korean.

I use 3x Faderfoxes with Bome's Midi Translator to assist with some additional functionality.

I modified a CD case to hold them so its totally portable.

I use the cross-faders to select the desired effect in my FX rack and the knob above the 3 EQ's for wet/dry on the selected effect.

The middle section endless pots are used for browser control, BPM adjust, pitch bend, track load and clip zoom.

The 4 knobs at the top of the middle section control parameters in Artillery2 and the black and grey buttons fire dummy clips which are combinations of effects in Artillery that can be modified by the knobs at the top.

With the Novation Remote SL, you can set buttons to switch templates.
So, you could set up 16 templates, all identical, except for the channel they transmit on, then use a button to access each one.

Template 1 could control track 1, template 2 could control track 2, etc
