maschine can work wonders with live.

the LED + pages of buttons + knobs is so clutch..one of my setups is:

buttons:
page 1 - launch clip ala APC/launchpad style (i have a 1x8 rectangle that can move around)
page 2 - arm track
knobs"
page 1 - track volume
page 2 - macros

then all those side buttons can be midi mapped/re-programmed w/ Bomes too and the pads feel super nice.

overall Maschine is my favorite surface controller for Live. all it needs is a mini keyboard companion (akai lpk or korg microkey) and ur set! wish it was a bit smaller tho

i altered one of maschine's templates to fit the mpd24 control surface a while back... giving it drum racks and "blue hand" macros support.

still want to work on it a bit more... but it does the trick for now.

you can access that by using the 'controller editor' application.
For Maschine templates (for use with the 'controller editor' application) look here :

I made a user remote script back when I got machine. It can be found in post #35 here:

http://www.native-instruments.com/forum ... 226&page=3
New Live Template
This utilizes the user remote script with live. It is for basic controls and does not launch clips. It has drum racks, macros, sends, and volumes mapped

Group A of the pads maps to the current drum rack. The other Groups go chromatically up always with C on pad one.

Transports are all mapped. Restart = Loop and Erase = Stop

There are 4 pages of knobs.

-One is for the 8 Macros. The eight buttons correspond to the eight banks for the knobs. The Browse/Sampling buttons are for Previous and Next bank.

-Another page is for the 8 volumes with the corresponding buttons for track arm.

-The last two pages are for Send A and Send B. The buttons do nothing on these pages but are labeled 1-8 for reference.

There are 2 files in the zip. One is the Maschine Template and one is to put in the Ableton user remote script folder

That and device/macro controls with parameter names are the most missing parts from official NI remote script.
