For me, it's an APC40 with the nativeKONTROL scripts. The only thing I miss are motorfaders.

Never tried Maschine, seems to be a great thing for the beat-makers out there, but controller-wise, I can't imagine it could be anywhere near as sturdy and comfortable as my APC is right now.
Could you please explain nativeKontrol scripts, how it changes the performance of the APC and the benefits of those changes. Sorry, I'm a little out of the loop apparently. Thanks.

I'll try the google also :)
Check out their vids on YouTube, pretty self-explanatory: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sMfcr0JraUk

I've perservered with Ableton for a long time - but nothing beats Maschines all in one controller integration - I'm going completely down the Maschine route since 1.6 - its like a DAW now and the fact you can automate clips (Ableton we asked for this years ago!) means its just leapfrogged the competition - I'll still keep ableton for some useful features - but very happy doing everything in Maschine now!

why would ableton team up with such a shit company as akia? didnt they research the company?
all you need to do is go to the akia pro website to realize how half ass they are.

click under support.... oooh what do we have here under support... ahh a bunch poorly written manuals and a phone number to rhode island.

yeah! everyone else sucks 'cause Maschine is awesome!
Forget that akai has made better quality controllers than m-audio, novation, korg and the others. They're not as cool as Maschine so akai suck!

blah, whatever, I like my APC40. It's good friends with my maschine.

Well, squelcht was referring to MPCs not APC40, although I can see both becoming irrelevant for a lot of people because of Maschine.

I think that Ableton should really consider teaming up with Ikea.

Whenever it's a Maschine thread, there seems to be an inordinate amount of trash talk going on towards other gear.

Oftentimes it's other gear that's not really Apples to Apples.

I'm waiting to see the Maschine kicks the Fender Strat's ass any day of the week!!!! post. :x
