Using Ableton to project video during live shows

Post by 504slacker » Thu Feb 03, 2011 7:05 pm

I am in a band where we have video art projected during our live show. I am able to use the video window in Ableton to project the video, but does anyone know of a way to project the video window only while still being able to see Ableton's session view on the computer monitor? In other words, I want only the video track or video window sent to the projector (via minidisplay port to VGA), but on the laptop screen I want to see the whole project.

Drag the Ableton video window to the second monitor, then double-click it. It goes fullscreen on the second monitor while keeping the Session or Arrange view on the primary monitor.

Thanks, Pitch Black. That was exactly what I was trying to figure out. That was way too simple.
