OPERATOR OVERVIEW?

Wow! An explosion of opinions and EMOTIONS! about this new release.
Seems like the discussion covers mostly:

1) Quality of sound
2) GUI
3) Ableton policy (separate download or included in Live)
4) Interal vs. VST/AU vs. ReWire
5) Price

-> what's missing?
--> What about COLLECTING OUR OPINIONS in an analytic way? I see this as an attempt to comunicate OUR opinion to the 'Abletons'.

I like the sound, but how is the sound compared to other synth-pllug-ins in this price class? How is it compared with synths like Absynth and similar?

The download should be optional because like this the marketing strategy is to obvious (in my eyes at least) - e.g. the 'help-menu' is has slightly turned into an 'advertising-menu'. This could, i speak for myself, compromise the 100% positive feel i have for this software for beeing so user-friendly.

I guess the price depends of all other discussed points. Professional users? Non-Professional users?


For me the most important issue, besides the sound and the usability of course, is the policy, because, like Martyn says in another thread, what will further evolutions be like?
