PLZ teach me how to create a Web with your own mp3

Post by tch » Sun Jan 23, 2005 10:21 pm

Anyone ?

I have no clue in web programing.
I would like to make a web which can contain my band's mp3
so that people can download and listen to.

Would like to post some schedules and update the mp3 and stuff.

is there any cheap and easy way to do this ?
I've seen people with their own webs, own domain accounts,
and their own mp3 and stuff.
I must say they are looking great.

I can use both window 98 and mac osx.

I would really appriciate for your information.
Anything will help me.
Thank you for your time and efforts.

The best is to find somebody to do it for you, friend or friend of a friend, exchange of services (provide music for some webdesigner ???) or some other deal. Making it right is not that easy. WWW is full of pages nobody likes to see. Lousy page might be worse then having none. Dont believe what the "easy" software like frontpage promise. Finally it will be cheaper to earn some money and pay for it rather then spending thousand hours with miserable result.
Most of internet providers include some free software for the purpose but you have been warned, it is not worth.

You'll need to purchase/rent a domain name (the address of your site such as google.com) and subscribe to a web hosting service. We useipowerweb.com which is quite cheap, but the transfer speed is not great (but not bad either). They also have several tools available to help build better pages...online stores, forums, blogs, statistics to see how people are using your site. Good stuff.
Dreamweaver is really not hard to learn, but you'll need to buy a book to teach you the basics. It is possible to make a good site with Dreamweaver, it just takes thought and creativity.
Good luck!
