Just to clarify, this is correct. The Autopan device, with phase set to zero, doesn't pan but instead becomes an excellent tremolo with different LFO shapes - sine, triangle, square and anything in between. It works great.

Fun fact: The word tremolo is almost onomatopoeia, because it sounds like what it is :) When you say "tremolo", the volume of your voice goes up and down (down on the 2nd syllable). Just one more reason why tremolo has to be one of the greatest effects, ever.

If your Strat can't cope with a whammy bar then the sooner you break it and buy a real one the better! Seriously, Strats are there to be abused.
