I think that image should be quoted a few more times, regardless.

i was referring to the idea of posting a stuffed horrible monkey thingy in this thread, not the thread itself.

I think it will be June or July when Ableton 9 comes out.
A bit like 2009 and I would assume it would have 64 bit
support, dual monitor configuration and an improved GUI
and lots of new features as well as upgraded ones. Perhaps
a more transparent EQ and better reverb?
It will be interesting to see how it fares against BitWig.
Also, is it me or has Max For Live become a bit of a let down?
Everyone was going on about it, but it's just beyond the
reach of most DAW users who just want to get some tracks
down on a stable DAW. 8.3 seems good for now, but 32 bit
don't cut it when working with gigabite sample libraries.
But I have faith in Ableton. They say no news is good news
and I believe that to be true for Ableton.

I definitely understand that it's learning curve coupled with tech brain thinking hinders the creative process of actually making tunes,
BUT I feel like M4L is awesomely useful for those willing to learn, giving user the opportunity to enhance their workflow 10 fold.
So in the end, all the time spent learning can be regained through the customized workflow resulting in mass amounts of music creation.

Amazing. Just got the update e-mail from Ableton. ZERO mention of Live 9.
This is pretty-much already turning into the Steinberg Wavelab7 debacle (if anyone was a part of that ridiculousness).
What a let down.

Some of the Ableton staff left to to work on Bitwig so they looking to hire new staff before they make a start on Live 9.
Live 9 development only exists in our heads and live 8 bugs are caused by HAARP. Alex Jones told me so.

turns out Bitwig is a front for hookers and blow. the application only works after you go PRO. it's an iPhone app... you put in your address and music genre and the correct the type of hooker and amount of cocaine is delivered to your doorstep/hotel room by a burly guy with a waveform tattoo on his cheek.
