I'd love to see the ability to arbitrarily color midi notes; sometimes I play a piece on my keyboard with both hands, and it would be nice to indicate which hand was playing what when I review my clips

I don't understand this one... THE big reason I still use other DAW to do midi

Uhhhh you know theres a midi effect in Live called "pitch" right?
That's what it does; transpose.

This effect transposes everything in the track...
I want to be able to transpose a certain section in the track, not all of it.

how about selecting the notes u want and pressing shift ot alt up arrow or down arrow ?
try it...

No way!
I Should have read the manual on this one...
the arrow alone does it, alt arrow transposes an octave.
