Ableton not recognizing Omnisphere VST

Post by snowlip7 » Tue Apr 05, 2011 7:08 pm

I just updated my Omnisphere synth to the new 1.5 version. However, Ableton is not recognizing the newly installed VST. When I try to open the Omnisphere vst in Adobe Audition, it says it is not supported.... ?

Any ideas what I need to do to get this working??

Please help!

Try removing the Omni from the VST folder, rescanning in Live the re-adding Omni to the VST folder and rescanning again.
Often works for recalcitrant VSTs.

Omnisphere v1.5 is working in Ableton Live v8.2 here.

Sometimes when I load a set, Live splashes up a warning that it cannot find Omnisphere. Yet it's loaded.

It's a sampling synth with a massive 50gb plus library of everything from vintage synths to (literally) burning pianos. It also has a great virtual analog engine (like a normal software synth). It's filthy.
