This might have been already covered but I couldn't find anything relating on a quick search. I just tried to set up a parallel compressed beat in Live (8.2.2 on OSX 10.6). I normally do this within a Drum Rack, this time I was using a send channel.
As soon as I turned up the send knob it was very audible that the signal was not parallel to the Drum Rack track but slightly delayed. I could reproduce the same thing with Impulse. Even without any effect I get a slightly delayed signal on the return channel. If I do the same in Logic, I get the signal perfectly in time.
Don't know if I could make myself perfectly clear? Does anybody experience similar issues?

Are you sending from a group? Make sure the input on the group is set to no input.
That's one possibility.

Re: Delayed signal on return channel when using sends for drums
Thanks, but it's just a plain MIDI track containing Drum Rack / Impulse as an Instrument.
But I got the culprit now, I had another return channel set up with Aether reverb as an AU plugin. I did not send the drum signal to that return track but as soon as I deleted Aether, I had my drum send level on time. Not really assuring when working with external plugins...

Re: Delayed signal on return channel when using sends for drums
Return tracks with sends active are removed from PDC calculation.
Assuming you even have auto delay calc active that is.

Re: Delayed signal on return channel when using sends for drums
No delay calc active. No other external plugins.
Just Aether on Send A and my parallel drum track signal on Send B. Same effect if I exchange Aether with another plugin (filter, delay, dynamics, you name it). The delay on my parallel drum return track is VERY audible, can anybody reproduce this? Thanks!

Wait , by "no delay calc active" do you mean it's off?
Because it should be on!
