Modulation Device

Post by henke » Tue Apr 12, 2011 8:40 am

hello. i uploaded a nice little m4l device: a step sequencer like parameter modulation thingie. nothing too fancy, but as usual done with love and attention to detail ( like: if you map a parameter, its value is taken over by a "Control" knob and you can apply a modulation to it. If you set the modulation to zero, you are back where you started before adding the modulation. A more practical solution IMHO than setting absolute min/max vlaues for modulation like in the standard API objects included currently.

I also uploaded a new version of the GrainFreeze device.

All to be found here: http://www.monolake.de/technology/m4l.html

Have fun,
Robert

Ooops, I failed to upload the correct version of the new GrainFreeze. Now it's there and works.

Also, there is a new LFO, not linked to the page yet:

there is more to come. . . . ...

lovely devices, but I noticed some strange behaviour with the LFO-ZERO. I haven't figured out when exactly, but sometimes it just stops modulating when you change the 'note length' and play around the the 'control knob'.

The 'controlled parameter' also follows relatively slow when you change it with the 'control' knob in combination with high note length values.

As said above that is only a quick observation.

That's intentional. The signal from the 'control knob' and all modulations go thru the quantization stage and then the smoothing is applied. So, if quantization is set to a high note value, changes are intentionally slow.

Thanks Alot Mr. Henke!

One thing, there is a dead link to the new Lfo device if when you click on the link. Clicking the image does work.
