hooray for Julio Bashmore! I love his style.

But yeah, those are 909 toms for sure.

I have got many 808 and 909 samples and yeah....909 Tom...just manipluated a little...using Simpler or many other effects in Live.

I even think you can use the operator and use the sine wave form...but never tried that approach...I would love to learn the steps to that though.

Off the top of my head no...I Think there are many packs out there that offer them so they may vary in names. 2 places that have some good sounds are PrimeLoops and http://www.musicsoftwaretraining.com/ul ... ples-info/

I will be home tomorrow and I can poke around for you.

Hey I have been trying to re create the bass/kick melody from the song julio bashmore - around but cant seem to do it. I thought it was a tom drum but I cannot seem to replicate it. When I put drum samples through simpler the sample sounds really flat if you play a note other than the route note. My ableton knowledge is average at best so any help would be appreciated! its been bugging me for a while now.

Thanks!!

heres the link to the song...

Double the sample with a simple sine wave kick in operator.
